Standard Terms and Conditions - continued
1. Placing an order
1.1 We will confirm to you verbally the services you are ordering and the price. Telephone calls may be monitored and recorded for the purposes of verification, security and training. Written confirmation of the services and price will be supplied on request. Once your payment has been received by us or our appointed supplier, you will be deemed to have placed an order.
2. Price and Payment
2.1 Your Estate agent will quote a price for the service being ordered and we will confirm this to you verbally. Written quotations or proforma invoices will be provided on request.
2.2 If the price you have been quoted verbally is incorrect, we will explain the error and you will have the option to proceed at the correct price. We reserve the right to decline to supply any service at an incorrectly quoted price.
2.3 In the case of HIPs services, additional costs may be payable for Leasehold (including Share of Freehold) or Commonhold properties, unregistered properties or other required documents. A supplement may also be payable where Local Authority search costs exceed normal levels.
2.4 In the case of EPCs or services including EPCs (e.g. HIPs) each area that functions as a dwelling as defined in the relevant regulations will require a separate EPC at an additional cost. Properties initially thought to be residential may on inspection require a Commercial EPC at additional cost.
2.5 We will endeavor to quote any additional costs prior to collecting your initial payment, however it is possible that such costs will only become apparent once the process of producing the HIP is underway. We therefore reserve the right to ask you for payment of specific additional costs in the future. If you fail to keep an arrangement for access to your property there will be an additional cost of £30+vat. If we are unable to collect payment of any additional costs then we may not be able to deliver your completed HIP to you. In the case of any incomplete HIPs our cancellation terms will apply.
2.6 You may be asked to pay additional charges by others in order to obtain information essential for the completion of a HIP, for example in the case of unregistered properties there may be charges payable to a solicitor or lender to obtain documents.
2.7 Payment for any service by us must be made in advance of any order being accepted or work commenced.
2.8 If you choose to use a deferred payment facility in payment for any services, you will be entering into a binding agreement to make payment to a third party. The term and conditions of that agreement will be as specified by that third party and we cannot intervene in that process.
