There are many fascinating villages nearby as well, such as Gilston, High Wych, Hunsdon and Widford.

Harlow Town station for London/Liverpool Street is a mile away, Junction 7 of the M.11 about 4 miles (another four from there for the M.25). The A.10 (Hertford junction) is a similar distance to the west.
London's third international airport at Stansted is about 12 miles distance.
EASTWICK, a short history..........
The story of "The Witches of Eastwick" is based here dating back to 1712 when Jane Wenham was accused of witchcraft. She was found guilty with some improbable evidence but was eventually released after the trial Judge appealed to Queen Anne for leniency.
