Lavenham is often described as one of England's finest preserved medieval villages. With its fortunes arising from the wool trade in the 15th and 16th Centuries, the village has a magnificent parish church and a wonderful selection of ancient houses and cottages dating from Tudor timber buildings through the Georgian period to the Victorian era. Today the village is very vibrant with a most active community and useful range of shops including a butcher, pharmacy, bakery, traditional grocer's store and two modern co-ops. There are also a number of interesting shops and galleries and several fine public houses and restaurants. There is a primary school and a modern doctor's surgery. High Trees is set along a country lane almost exactly a mile from the village market place, quite literally the last house in Lavenham before open countryside. It has spectacular views to the front and rear over open fields for several miles.

High Trees is a contemporary detached house offering some 2200sq.ft. of versatile and flexible accommodation to a high standard. The house has been enlarged considerably since it was built; the most recent addition is an oak framed garden room adding a new dimension to the already large kitchen. It is built with rendered elevations under a traditional tiled roof and there is extensive use of hardwood joinery throughout with oak framed windows and sills, oak doors downstairs, architraves, skirting boards, staircase and flooring. There is an exceptional fitted kitchen designed for a chef and the rooms are bright and airy, upstairs enjoying spectacular views over open countryside. There is a large parking area with two double garages, one of which has been lined out for use as a home office/studio. There is a large mature garden with splendid timber decks to the side and rear, the latter having a substantial permanent retractable awning and heating. This is an exceptional contemporary family house combining the best of village and country living. Superfast fibre broadband is connected.
