Location
Bridstow is a small village, around two miles from Ross-on-Wye's town centre. This offers an assortment of shops, independently owned boutiques, a range of restaurants, welcoming pubs, various leisure facilities, plus a network of countryside and riverside walks.
The village has a lovely community; it contains a village hall - which acts as a headquarters for various groups such as the Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and the WI, and there are also various activities staged there, such as barn dances and whist evenings. There is also a primary school that carries a 'Good' Ofsted rating, and this venue is used as a rehearsal space for a local women's choir, the Border Belles. In terms of secondary education, Ross offers John Kyrle High and further private schooling options are found in the nearby towns of Hereford and Monmouth.

The home at a glance
Green Acres is set just off a quiet country lane but is a short drive (approximately one quarter of a mile) from the A49, the main road that connects Ross-on-Wye with Hereford. At Ross-on-Wye, motorists can join A40, and this east-bound route provides a direct route to Gloucester, Cheltenham, and the Cotswolds. Meanwhile, the opposite direction leads towards the M4 at Newport. In addition, the M50 also begin in Ross-on-Wye, and this leads to the M5, giving access to Birmingham and Bristol.
The home at a glance
Green Acre is set off a country lane, behind a set of five-bar gates, and the plot is just over half an acre in size. A sizeable gravel driveway extends before the home and there is a detached single garage and adjoining carport.
The surrounding hillsides beautify the rear garden and give an impressive backdrop. There is a patio seating area outside the conservatory, a lawn which meanders around sizeable flower beds, and a substantial outbuilding which offers a secure space to store gardening tools and equipment.
The main entrance into the home leads into a reception hall. To the right, there is a fitted kitchen which includes a ceramic hob and extractor fan, double oven, plenty of floor and eye-level wooden cupboards, plus space and plumbing for a dishwasher and washing machine.
At the far end of the kitchen, there is a triple aspect conservatory which carries a pretty tiled floor and lovely view of the rear garden and country hills beyond.
The sitting room also beautifully exhibits the attractive surrounding scenery; a set of French doors and series of full-height windows let plenty of natural light pour into the expanse. A brick fireplace creates a cosy focal point and there is a cased opening on the right-hand side of the room which establishes a second section and – as there is a small hatch linking this with the kitchen – the space would serve as a perfect dining area.
Of the two bedrooms, the largest also features windows overlooking the garden, whereas the smaller faces the front garden.
In terms of washing facilities, the bath and basin are housed in one room and the WC is next door.
