Harrow Hill is set within The Royal Forest of Dean - an area which offers 24,000 acres of glorious countryside and presents an ideal landscape for outdoor activities such as walking and cycling. The neighbouring village of Drybrook offers a wealth of amenities including a GP surgery, a village shop, butchers, a pub, a chemist and a junior school. The closest town, Mitcheldean, gives a sought-after secondary school, Dene Magna, which is graded 'Outstanding' by Ofsted. There is also another primary school, a GP surgery, two village shops, three pubs, a butchers, a chemist and various leisure facilities.
The home at a glance
The main entrance into this bright and airy home leads to an attractive reception hall. An engineered oak floor flows into an open-plan dining kitchen; a handsome expanse which includes a wealth of integrated appliances - a dishwasher, a full-height fridge and a full-height freezer - there is also ample pull-out storage and a breakfast bar - which contains a Neff hob with extractor fan above. There is a separate utility room with units matching those in the kitchen, space for a wine cooler and plumbing for a washing machine.
There are two reception rooms on the ground floor, the largest of which is a spacious sitting room which boasts an inset fireplace with an oak mantle housing an electric stove which is remote-controlled. On the opposite side of the home, there is a library-cum-study and next door, there is a cloakroom.
Beyond the sitting room, there is a double bedroom which includes a TV point, a built-in wardrobe and an en-suite shower room.
The staircase leads to a galleried landing which is streamed with plenty of natural light, owing to a series of skylights. All bedrooms include TV points and, of these, the master suite is an intensely impressive expanse; it has a high ceiling and a dressing room with ample built-in storage which leads through to an en-suite shower room. The other two bedrooms also carry pitched ceilings and dormer windows. Of these, the larger also features built-in wardrobes across one wall.
The elegant family bathroom contains a slipper bath with a shower attachment, a corner walk-in dual-headed shower, a WC, a basin and a heated towel rail.
Outside, the manicured front and rear gardens beautify the home. At the front, there is a level lawn, bordered by vibrant blooms and shrubs, plus a small patio to create a serene seating area. At the rear, there is a generous patio seating area which is bordered by a glass balustrade. There is also a terraced lawn and a variety of flower beds. In terms of parking, there is an integral garage plus a large driveway.
