Ok so this is just one of those homes, good looking I think you`ll agree, set over three floors and all this and only a 2 minute walk to the station and 5 minutes to some of the best schools around
I love brickwork, love it, but there`s also something about painted brickwork that just looks a bit ....... Regency?
Anyway, this home is a good looking three storey period home that has been extended upwards and outwards to now give some great space and flow that works so well.
Wandering inside, the main living room is a lovely shape and size, easy to furnish around the feature fireplace and burner, just what you want in a room and home like this. Walking through to the central dining room, this again is a lovely room with feature fireplace and also has the stairs rising up to the first floor and a doorway taking you out to the sideway.
Many have opened these rooms up to be one huge through room but I think it works well as two defined areas, but you can decide, either way you have plenty of room to use as you wish.
Continue through to the back of the home and you find a lovely rear lobby area with fitted bathroom, part vaulted with large Velux window keeping things light and bright. Plenty of storage in this area too, often missing in period homes but not here.
Now through to the large, light and bright vaulted kitchen/ breakfast room, a stunning space. So much room here to really be the heart of the home, social, fun but also functioning just as it should. The white units and contrasting work surfaces look great, a really sharp and clean finish with then glazed double doors allowing you to spill outside onto the garden.
Moving upstairs we have two further floors to explore, the first floor holds two double bedrooms with a central jack and jill style WC and basin, really clever and it works. Rising to the top floor we then have bedroom one with a lovely large en suite shower room. The views from this room are fantastic, far reaching as you would expect, and it also has you up and out the way from the kids and guests.
Now to the gardens which are a lovely, immediately outside you have a decked area to sit and chill and then look down the garden which is lawn with a further seating area at the end so you can follow the sun. The current owners have added so much which you may not see at this time of year, roses, lilacs, raspberries and even an olive tree (personal favourite) so you`ll have the benefit of these as the seasons turn. You then also have the shed right at the rear, a great plus but also lends itself to become room for the much loved outside office ?
So all in all we have a good looking, good size, three storey home in town which offers so much and is here for you to have a private tour, let us know when youre free.
