There is a free car park and beautifully landscaped grounds which are maintained on your behalf. Some apartments at Barum Lodge also feature balconies providing the perfect outside living space.
Kitchens are tiled with colour-coordinated worktops and come fully fitted with a waist-height oven, hob and upright fridge/freezer as standard. Shower rooms feature low-level shower trays and easy turn taps. Two bedroom apartments feature a separate WC or an en-suite.

The Local Area:
Barnstaple is an historic market town and the largest town in North Devon with a bustling High Street offering a wide range of shopping facilities and eateries. Located on the estuary of the River Taw, Barnstaple lies to the north of Dartmoor and to the west of Exmoor National Park.
The town has many attractive buildings that date back several centuries including St Annes Chapel, Barnstaple Castle and The Georgian Guildhall. Barnstaple enjoys a variety of leisure amenities including the North Devon Leisure Centre with a 25m swimming pool, 102 station gym, sports hall, 3 squash courts, spa and soft play, and the Queens Theatre where you can choose from a variety of entertainment. The town is well placed for trips to the coast with the popular sandy beaches of Woolacombe and Croyde being less than 10 miles away. There are a lot of great walks to explore from Barnstaple along the River Taw which link up with both the SW Coastal Path and the 180-mile Tarka Trail.
Barnstaples historic Pannier Market has a wide range of stalls with everything from fresh local produce, flowers, crafts, art and fashion as well as several cafes.
AGENTS NOTE:
The property is leasehold with a new 999 year lease. There will be an annual service charge which covers the communal services, such as the Lodge Manager, external maintenance of the building and grounds, building insurance, security systems and call monitoring, heating, lighting and the communal lounge. The aim is to keep the cost for that as low as possible and a full budget analysis will be provided. Pets are allowed within the building with prior written consent from the Management Company, Churchill Estates Management. The occupancy criteria states that one of the owners has to be at least 60 years old and a live-in partner of that person has to be at least 55 years old. Apartments can be let out with the permission of the Management Company but the tenants must be at least 60 years old.
