As a result, there are many beautiful walks nearby. Longhope's popular The Forest Bakehouse, which stocks artisan bread, pastries and cakes, is also a short distance away, giving hikers a perfect stop to load up on goodies.

The home at a glance
Visitors to the home are given a lovely first impression; the front door is framed by two stained glass windows, one of which was handmade by the vendor while the other was made to match by a local artist.
The lounge - the largest of the three reception rooms - is bright and airy; light pours in through patio doors and three additional windows. There are also two electric fireplaces; one at each end of the room. An archway and a couple of steps lead through to the study which is a lovely space that features rustic exposed beams. The third reception room is utilised as the dining room which would comfortably fit a large table and provide ample space to stage a family get together.
The kitchen, much like the lounge, is also filled with light and an additional door leads out to the opposing side of the garden. The utility room is tucked away behind the kitchen and this leads through to a shower room to the right and a walk-in pantry to the left.
Upstairs, two of the bedrooms - plus the family bathroom, a washroom and a landing-cum-library, are accessed from the staircase which begins in the entrance hall. The other two bedrooms and a washroom are accessible from a second staircase, which starts in the dining room. This layout is due to the fact that the first two bedrooms are found in the original cottage, while the second two, plus the dining room and garage are located in an extension that was added around 25 years ago. This means that there could be scope to split the home off in two sections and turn the newer part into an annexe - subject to the necessary planning consents.
The beautifully-kept garden encircles the property from east to west, which means that there is plenty of sunshine and the gorgeous landscape has a spectacular back drop - May Hill, which is distinguishable from miles around by a clump of trees on its summit.

Oil central heating. Mains water and electricity. Septic tank. Telephone line and broadband - fibre optic soon to be available. Satellite television.
