Built in 1890 for Jamieson Whiskies, Iverna was one of the first luxury racing yachts of her kind. She competed against some of the most iconic yachts of the era—including Britannia in 1893—and is well documented in yachting publications of the time.
Following her final voyage to Salcombe in n1929 she was converted to a house boat. She was in poor condition when purchased by the family in the 1960s. In the 1970s she was carefully dismantled and repurposed throughout Offshute. Elements of the kitchen, staircase, and other features within the property were crafted from her timbers, embedding her legacy into the very fabric of the home.
